After Elon Musk took over Twitter one of the main things that changed was about Verification rules. Tesla CEO has now explained more about it. Elon Musk tweeted, "Twitter plans to launch its updated Verified program next Friday with manual authentication and check marks of varying colors for various user types. All verified accounts will be manually authenticated before the check activates," he stated. "Gold check for businesses, grey check for the government, and blue check for individuals (celebrities or not).

Musk had stated previously that Twitter would "probably use [a] different color check for organizations than individuals." He added, "individuals can have secondary tiny logo showing they belong to an org if verified as such by that org," in a subsequent tweet.However, "as [the] boundary of what constitutes 'notable' is otherwise too subjective," he stated, each individual user will have the same blue check mark.
