Claim: Twitter engineers can tweet from any account they like

A former worker asserts that any Twitter engineer still has access to an internal program called "GodMode." Engineers can tweet from any account in this mode. The complaint that was submitted to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in October contains the specifics: Twitter engineers are still able to use "GodMode" to tweet as any account. The program, which has been renamed "privileged mode," is said to still be installed on the laptops of engineers who require it. It would appear that the only things needed are a production computer and a straightforward code change from "FALSE" to "TRUE."

The emergence of such a deficit at a time when security is extremely important shook the social media. It is thought-provoking that there is such a vulnerability, especially on a platform owned by Elon Musk, who defends freedom of expression.
