Musk blasted Apple's 30 percent "tax" on in-app purchases in subsequent tweets and asserted that the owner of the App Store has "censored" other developers. Apple "has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter," he added. Apple is not the only major advertiser in recent weeks to do so.)This is not the first time that Apple has criticized Twitter.
A request for clarification was made, but Apple did not immediately respond. Musk didn't say if Apple was holding off on releasing new updates for the service or if it was threatening to remove the app entirely from its store. However, a number of recent issues may have prompted additional investigation into Twitter. The Guardian reported on Sunday that until government officials informed the company of its existence, Twitter had initially failed to pull “freshly uploaded” video of a 2019 terror attack at a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand.
