The IHRN feature will debut on the Galaxy Watch 6 series, which is rumored to include a standard model and a Classic model with a physical rotating bezel. It will be included in the update to One UI 5 Watch. After the arrival of the Watch 6 series, the IHRN component will extend to past World Watch versions.
In the background, the IHRN feature checks for irregular heart rhythms with the BioActive Sensor, which was introduced with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series. In order to provide more precise heart rate monitoring, the BioActive Sensor is a three-in-one sensor that combines an optical heart rate sensor, an electrical heart rate sensor, and a bioelectrical impedance analysis sensor.
The One UI 5 Watch update will bring personalized heart rate zones, enhanced safety features like Fall Detection and automatic SOS calls, and aid in better sleep in addition to the IHRN feature.
