Samsung continues to expand the Galaxy Watch 6 series
The South Korean tech giant Samsung keeps attracting the attention of smartwatch enthusiasts by adding new variants to the Galaxy Watch 6 series.
Following the release of the Galaxy Watch 6 Thom Browne Edition, Samsung has now introduced the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic PXG Edition. This collaboration with Parsons Xtreme Golf (PXG) isn't new for Samsung, as they previously teamed up in 2021 for the Galaxy Watch 4 series.
Tailored for golf aficionados, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic PXG Edition comes equipped with the Smart Caddy app pre-installed, serving as an invaluable ally on the greens. The package is further enriched with six golf balls and an elegant carry case, ensuring that golfers are well-equipped for their sessions.

Stylistically, the watch stands out. It is complemented by two special edition watchbands and two exclusive watch faces, elevating the luxury quotient of golfing gear. On the technical front, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic PXG Edition mirrors its standard version, delivering the expected features and performance synonymous with this series.
As of now, this special edition is available only in South Korea. The 43 mm model is priced at KRW 869,000 (roughly $655), while the 47 mm variant is available for KRW 899,000 (approximately $678). Details regarding its international release remain undisclosed by Samsung.
Diving into the specifications, the Galaxy Watch 6 series showcases slimmer bezels than its antecedents. They feature Sapphire Crystal Super AMOLED displays with a vibrant Always-On-Display (AOD). The 40mm Galaxy Watch 6 houses a 1.3-inch screen powered by a 300mAh battery, whereas the 44mm model boasts a 1.5-inch screen backed by a 400mAh battery. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is available in both 43mm and 47mm sizes, with impressive battery life spanning up to 30 hours with AOD activated and up to 40 hours without it.
Health metrics are a standout feature for the Galaxy Watch 6 series, leveraging the Samsung BioActive Sensor for heart rate tracking among other health metrics. Other integrated sensors include an accelerometer, barometer, gyro, geomagnetic sensor, and light sensor. These watches run on Google's Wear OS-based One UI 5, ensuring a seamless user interface. Connectivity is robust with support for LTE, Wi-Fi 2, NFC, and GPS. Additionally, they carry 5ATM and IP68 certifications, testifying to their durability and water resistance.
