Pixel Watch 2 gears up for its unveiling
Google's eagerly anticipated new smartwatch, Pixel Watch 2, now counts the days until it meets its fans.
Google's forthcoming Pixel Watch 2, expected to debut this fall, has caught attention with its recent details surfacing from a Google Play Console listing. While early rumors hinted at some features, this listing provides a clearer picture. The Pixel Watch 2, codenamed 'eos', appears to retain a design akin to its forerunner, boasting a round screen with a 384 x 384 px resolution, coupled with a crown dial on the side. Predictions suggest the 1.2-inch diagonal display will most likely be an OLED screen.

Shifting away from Exynos, Google seems to be embracing Qualcomm's Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset (SW5100) for the Pixel Watch 2, coupled with 2GB RAM. Another significant detail is the device's operating system - it's set to run Android 13, most probably with Wear OS 4 overlaying it.
On the power front, speculations point towards the Pixel Watch 2 featuring a 306mAh battery, a slight upgrade from the 294mAh cell in the original Pixel Watch. The forthcoming timepiece is also rumored to incorporate Ultra-wideband (UWB) connectivity and introduce an array of new watch face designs. In tandem with the Pixel Watch 2's anticipated arrival, there are whispers about Google unveiling the Pixel 8 series.
