New information has arrived about the features of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series
Samsung, one of the important names in the smartwatch sector, cannot prevent leaks even though it tries to hide information about its new smartwatches.
In recent times, the rumor mill about the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series has been churning at full speed. The tech world is eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the new wearables at Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event, set for the end of July. Already, leaked renders and speculated pricing of the next-generation Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic have caused a stir among tech enthusiasts. Now, the major specifications of these smartwatches have started to emerge online.
Further insight into the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and 6 Classic's features has been unveiled by a Twitter tipster. These leaks were also echoed by Ice Universe, a well-established figure in the leaksters' sphere.
According to the tipster, there are numerous features to look forward to with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series. For one, these models are predicted to boast thinner bezels and more expansive screens compared to their predecessors. The leak suggests that screen size has been enhanced by 20%, while the back margin has been reduced by 30%.
New information has arrived about the features of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series
Under the hood, it's predicted that both the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic will run on the Exynos W930 processor, built using the 5nm process. Also, the devices are expected to house 2GB of RAM, half a GB more than their predecessors, and come with 16GB of onboard storage.
When it comes to battery life, the Galaxy Watch 6's 40 and 44mm versions are rumored to possess a 300 and 425mAh battery respectively. This reflects an improvement over the Watch 5's 284 and 410mAh capacities on similar size models. However, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic's two sizes are believed to match the regular variant's battery capacity, with the 43mm version getting 300mAh and the 47mm version featuring a 425mAh battery. Interestingly, this marks a notable reduction from the 590mAh battery in the previous year's Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
