The watch is expected to be available in four distinct shades: blue, black, gray, and white. Moreover, the device will incorporate a skin temperature sensor and an electrodermal activity (cEDA) sensor. This cEDA feature is engineered to gauge stress levels, encouraging wearers to log their current emotional state and offering helpful recommendations.
In terms of safety, the watch introduces a Safety Check mechanism. This feature seeks to ensure the user's well-being by sending out an alert. If the user remains unresponsive, the system will promptly share their location details with emergency contacts.
The Pixel Watch 2 won't just impress on the health and safety fronts. It's rumored to come packed with several internal enhancements. These include the integration of the latest Qualcomm W5+ Gen 1 chip, which might provide a notable boost to battery longevity. Speculations also hint at a display with a faster refresh rate and an advanced stress monitor.
Beyond the smartwatch, Google's event is also poised to feature announcements regarding the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones. This event will be broadcasted live on YouTube on October 4 at 10 a.m. ET.
