Huawei has unveiled its two latest smartwatches, the Huawei Watch 4 and Watch 4 Pro, in China, and they have been on sale in the domestic market for a week. The duo is now ready for their European debut. Remarkably, these are the first smartwatches to be powered by Huawei's self-engineered HarmonyOS.

The newly introduced Huawei smartwatches boast a 1.5-inch AMOLED display, rendering a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and pixel density of 310 PPI. Internally, the devices are equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor and are further complemented with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Both timepieces sport an Always-on display and offer a variety of watch faces to select from. Additionally, they carry a water-resistance rating up to 5 meters. The Watch 4 Pro flaunts a more substantial case that measures 48mm in diameter and 12.9mm in depth, while the Watch 4 possesses a 46mm dial and a 10.9mm depth case.

A larger 780mAh battery powers the Watch 4 Pro, contrasting with the 530mAh battery found in the Watch 4. As for the construction, the standard model incorporates stainless steel, composite fiber, and 3D glass. In contrast, the Pro model is designed with a blend of titanium, ceramic, and sapphire crystal glass.

When it comes to health and fitness features, the new smartwatch series is well-equipped. It carries a heart rate monitor, SpO2 sensor, ECG, skin temperature sensor, stress tracker, arterial stiffness indicator, and respiratory health data. The devices compile these seven parameters into a single, comprehensive one-minute health overview. Moreover, they offer over 100 workout modes and an AI running coach.

They also come with a fall detection feature that allows sending an SOS with a single tap. Furthermore, the Watch 4 Pro offers LTE connectivity via an eSIM and built-in GPS, features that the standard model does not carry.

The Huawei Watch 4 and Watch 4 Pro will hit the European market from June 13, retailing at €449 and €549, respectively. Huawei also offers a pair of FreeBuds 5i for free to those who order the device between June 13 and June 27.
