Google Pixel Watch shuts down when exposed to excessive heat!
The smartwatch model Pixel Watch, one of Google's popular products, made the headlines this time in a rather interesting way.
Google's Pixel Watch comes with specific operating and storage temperature guidelines. It's designed to operate optimally within an ambient temperature range of 32°F to 95°F (0°C to 35°C) and should be kept within -4 °F and 113 °F (-20°C and 45°C) when not in use. Google advises against exposing the device to temperatures above 113°F (45 °C), as it can potentially damage the product, overheat the battery, and even present a fire risk. Locations prone to extreme heat, such as a car dashboard or near a heating unit, should be avoided.
There has been an incident where a user left their Pixel Watch in the high temperature of a parked car and found that the device automatically powers off when it overheats. Subsequently, a notification from the system settings alerts the user with a message, "Watch was too warm," explaining that the device shut down to cool off and is now operating normally.

Thankfully, the Pixel Watch appears to be engineered to withstand intensive use during summer heat, such as keeping up with exercise routines while running cellular streaming, having Bluetooth headphones connected, using GPS tracking, and maintaining an always-on display.
As for Pixel phones, they are designed to handle heat by implementing various automatic cool-down measures. They may initially slow down the device operation, switch off the camera, flashlight, Wi-Fi, mobile data, or disable hot-spot functionality. If these measures prove inadequate, the phone will power off. Google advises letting the device cool down sufficiently before restarting it.
