The artificial intelligence, which is expected to counsel the defendant through headphones during the trial, will listen to the arguments in court and analyze the best answers the defendant can give. The technology running on the smartphone was designed by a tech startup called DoNotPay, which kept the identity of the accused private.
One of the most interesting aspects of the job is that the startup promised a full million dollars to attract more customers. DoNotPay CEO Joshua Browder stated on Twitter that he would like to see AI in a "higher court". Arguing that the traffic ticket case was too simplistic for the vehicle, Browder wrote, "That's why we're making this serious proposal."
In a pending case in the US Supreme Court, we will pay one million dollars to any lawyer or defendant who wears AirPods and leaves the defense to him by repeating what our robot lawyer said. Browder also says that DoNotPay will pay the fines if the robot lawyer loses the case.
