Something tragic and unimaginable took place when a woman got caught up in a walking belt in Bangkok, Thailand, lost her leg. An investigation has been launched into the incident that took place yesterday at Don Mueang International Airport. We have seen many tragic events online but in the modern world an accident like this is something is quite shocking.
Airport manager Karant Thanakuljeerapat said the passenger was to arrive on the flight south to Nakhon Si Thammarat. Karant stated that the woman's left leg, whose name has not been released, was caught on the treadmill. The unfortunate woman's leg got stuck in the device at the end of the tape.

Local news site Khaosod wrote that the woman fell to the ground when the suitcase crashed, and her leg was caught in the mechanism.
Emergency medical responders had to amputate her left leg at the knee to free the woman from the tape. Director Karant announced that all medical expenses will be covered and they will provide compensation: "We will make sure that such an accident will not happen again. The cause of the incident is still being investigated."
