It remains unclear how long the access problem, which started early morning today. While social media users shared on Twitter that WhatsApp had crashed, there was no statement from the company. Later a statement came from Meta, the company that Whatsapp is affiliated with. A spokesperson for Meta said, “We are currently aware of the problems users are having in sending messages. "We're currently working on decrypting WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible and bringing the system back."
