Wednesday might leave Netflix with the second season. The popular series, in which Jenna Ortega plays the character of Wednesday Addams, was released on Netflix in November last year. The series turned out to be a tremendous success for the digital broadcasting giant. Wednesday surpassed Stranger Things by achieving the highest single-week watch time among English-language series on Netflix, reaching more than 400 million hours of views in one week.

Despite this great success, Netflix has not yet confirmed Wednesday for a second season. While Netflix would like to keep Wednesday on its platform, the digital broadcaster may not have a choice. This means that the second season can be streamed on Amazon's digital streaming giant Prime Video instead of Netflix. Of course, this is not a sure thing. Netflix may strike a deal with Amazon to host the popular series.
Now the streaming giants are competing with each other more than ever with lots of options and different shows. While Netflix was the best choice before now Disney+ is also rising which leads to more competition.
