Vanderbilt used ChatGPT to inform the students about MSU shooting
ChatGPT has been quite popular ever since it was published. One university used the chatbox for informing students.
In response to the shooting at Michigan State University that left three students dead, staff personnel at Vanderbilt University issued an email to students using content created by artificial intelligence. The Vanderbilt Hustler, a student publication at the University of Tennessee in Nashville, first reported on the email on Friday. It was sent by the Peabody Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. The office has now apologized and its two associate deans are taking a temporary leave of absence.

The original email, which was sent on Thursday in the wake of the tragic school shooting in Michigan, underlined the value of community.
The email read: "The recent shootings in Michigan are a heartbreaking reminder of the need of looking out for one another, particularly in the context of establishing inclusive environments. We must consider the effects of such an event as members of the Peabody campus community and take action to make sure we are doing everything possible to foster a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
"We must acknowledge that developing a safe and inclusive environment is an ongoing process that demands continual effort and dedication," the 297-word email continued.
