US neuroscientist: Artificial intelligence today is a dangerous sociopath
Artificial Intelligence gets smart day by day and gets into our lives, yet experts claim that they are dangerous sociopaths.
Samsung has recently announced that they will offer robot maids reminding us The Jetkins. The artificial intelligense' improvement has made it easier for them to get into our lives. Now we also ChatGPT, which also blowed the internet. Although the artificial intelligence gets smarter some expers have doubts about it.
US neuroscientist: Artificial intelligence today is a dangerous sociopath
Michael Graziano of Princeton University in the USA argued that today's artificial intelligence chatbots could pose a serious danger to humans. The scientist described these tools as "dangerous sociopaths" in a new article he wrote in The Wall Street Journal. With the proliferation of chatbots like ChatGPT, which can impressively mimic the human mind, AI tools are more accessible than ever before.
Graziano thinks “Consciousness is part of the toolkit that evolution gave us to make us an empathetic, pro-social species. Without consciousness, we lack the tools for prosocial behavior and become necessarily sociopaths."
Unlike human sociopaths, chatbots cannot get off the screen to commit murder or do physical harm. But delegating more and more powers to artificial intelligence could have serious consequences in the near future, according to Graziano.
