Tina Turner was born in Nutbush, Tennessee in 1939. She rose to fame in the late 1960s as the singer of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue.
After leaving her husband Ike Turner following years of abuse, she staged a comeback in the 1980s with massive hits like "What's Love Got To Do With It", "Private Dancer" and "Simply The Best".
Tina Turner has sold over 180 million albums, won 12 Grammy Awards and toured the world to sold-out stadiums. In 2016, she was diagnosed with intestinal cancer and underwent a kidney transplant in 2017.
