TikTok is banned in another country; hard times for the app
Recently TikTok was banned for some regions in the USA and now Georgia has made another move. Here are all the details.
TikTok has been having some hard time now with various countries to ban the application. Georgia has become at least the eleventh state to prohibit TikTok from state-owned devices, making it the most recent state to do so. Additionally, state agencies are prohibited from using WeChat and Telegram by Governor Brian Kemp.

According to the Associated Press, Kemp wrote in a memo to state agency heads, "The state of Georgia has a responsibility to prevent any attempt to access and infiltrate its secure data and sensitive information by foreign adversaries such as the [Chinese Communist Party]." As a result, it is our responsibility to take measures to protect our state from the CCP, its controlled entities, and other foreign cyberthreats.
FBI Chief Chris Wray said for this present month that China could utilize TikTok to gather information on clients. These remarks were cited in Kemp's directive. The Associated Press was informed by a spokesperson for the governor that law enforcement and prosecutors would be permitted to use the three apps subject to obtaining permission. State colleges and universities are among those impacted by the restriction.
TikTok has made an effort to allay the concerns of American politicians that Chinese officials might gain access to the data it holds on users in the country. To ensure that the data remains in the United States, TikTok has been routing all domestic traffic to Oracle's servers since June.
