Actress Susan Sarandon attended the march in New York last week to support the striking screenwriters. Sarandon also walked for the restaurant staff this time. She joined the protest at the New York State Capitol in Albany to support raising the minimum wage for tipped restaurant workers. However, Sarandon found himself behind bars at the end of the act. The news became viral right after she was arrested.

The 76-year-old actress, who recently celebrated the engagement of her daughter Eva Amurri, was one of 8 activists arrested. The sit-in at the Hart Senate Office building was the culmination of the protest. During the sit-in, many protesters wore foil blankets, similar to the silver blankets that migrant children have been seen wearing in photos taken from detention centers.Reporter Kate Lisa also shared a video on her Twitter account. "One fair wage!" They seem to be shouting.
Sarandon and other detained activists were released after their proceedings were completed.
