Saudi Arabia is preparing to transform the center of the capital, Riyadh. According to the new statement from the country's Public Investment Fund, a huge cube-shaped structure will be built in the city center. It is stated that this building, called Mukaab, which means cube in Arabic, will be the "new face of Riyadh" and "the largest modern city center in the world".

There will be a spiral-shaped skyscraper inside the giant building, which will be located 20 minutes from Riyadh Airport.
The skyscraper in question will be surrounded by a façade of overlapping triangular structures inspired by the country's traditional architectural style, Nejd, and together they will form the cube-shaped structure.
Mukaab's interior design is also inspired by the historic riverside villages of Saudi Arabia.
The living space, where elements of these villages will be imitated, will host compact housing clusters separated by narrow roads, protecting people from the heat of the bright sun.
Mukaab, which is planned to be 400 meters in width, length and height, is being designed by the New Murabba Development Company, founded by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Murabba, which means square, is also expected to be a sustainable smart city.
