In a statement made by Massachusetts police yesterday, it was stated that the 45-year-old cook, who opened on the island of Martha's Vineyard in the state to practice paddle boarding on Sunday evening, drowned. It was reported that Campbell's body was found in Edgartown Lake on Monday morning, during the search and rescue efforts organized by the divers who went to the area.

In the statement of the police, it was stated that the Obama couple was not at home at the time of the incident. Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama told CNN "Tafari was a beloved part of our family. When we first met her, she was a talented assistant cook at the White House.
