NASA shows how they will bring Mars samples back to earth! Will they hold evidence of alien life?
NASA and ESA agreed on next steps to Mars Sample Return mission to bring rock samples back to the earth a month ago. Now NASA has released a concept video of the ambitious mission.
WASHINGTON, US - (TechtUSA) Perseverance has been in the works for a long time amidst the harsh biome of the Mars. Within the frame of spacecraft's operations, it was wondered how the spacecraft, which was investigating whether there was life on the Red Planet, would bring the samples back to the earth. However, with the last video released by NASA, it became clear how the samples would come to Earth.
NASA shared concept video of the Mars Sample Return mission
NASA successfully placed the Perseverance rover on Mars last year. As part of the Mars Exploration Program, the spacecraft is investigating evidences of signs of life on the Mars. The samples collected by Perseverance are the vital part of this investigation. Therefore it had been not clear yet how the rover would bring the samples to Earth for examination until NASA released concept video of Mars Sample Return mission.
In the video, the space agency will rely on the return spacecraft. On the surface, this return spacecraft will meet with Perseverance to begin the mission of Sample Return. Later on, samples from the Mars will be launched back into orbit for return after being loaded onto the return spacecraft.
The video covers everything from landing on Mars and sample tubes to getting them back to Earth. The samples will be brought back to the earth around 2033, according to NASA's prediction.
