Man robbed after buying 300 iPhones in Manhattan
The 27-year-old old man who bought about 300 iPhones from Apple Store robbed as soon as leaving the store.
It was reported a 27-year-old man who bought 300 iPhone 13 in different models to sell in his own store robbed as soon as leaving the Apple Store in Manhattan, New York. The unnamed man purchased these iPhones from an Apple Store on Manhattan's Fifth Avenue.
New York Police Department stated that, the man carrying 300 iPhone 13s that he divided into three different bags and carried it to his car was robbed by people who got out of another vehicle approaching him at 1.45 AM. As far as reported, no one was injured, but 125 iPhones worth approximately 95,000 dollars found in the bag were stolen.
After the incident, the police launched an investigation. The investigation of the robbery incident is ongoing right no, however, the New York Police Department has not announced any arrests so far.
There are many robbery specific to the Apple Store, but the employees do not personally intervene in these incidents because floor models in the store do not have much value. On the other hand, since Apple's stolen devices can be disabled by remote intervention, the device does not have much value when stolen.
