US stocks rallied at critical resistance levels as 30-year Treasury yields hit 4%, sending a mixed signal to investors. The upcoming jobs reports will shed more light on the US economy as well as the Fed's next move on rate hikes. The broader cryptocurrency was flat over the weekend, with Bitcoin and Ethereum falling 0.2% and 0.26%, respectively, in the last 24 hours. The biggest mover over the weekend was LDO, which fell 10% on Saturday, then slashed most losses since then amid rumors of an SEC warning.
LDO sees volatility from rumored SEC hunt
LDO is the native token of Lido, the largest liquid staking protocol. The token has reportedly seen massive price fluctuations over the weekend due to the SEC Wells Notice. A Wells Notice is a letter from the SEC notifying the recipient of the charges from the authority. Crypto podcaster Hoffman claimed on Saturday that Lido received a Wells Notice from the SEC and soon retracted the claim. The market reacted to the rumor as LDO and other liquid staking tokens sank on Saturday, but has since recouped most of the losses. However, Nansen data shows that whales were selling large volumes of LDO as the rumor went viral over the weekend.
Uniswap, the largest decentralized exchange, has announced the potential release of its Uniswap mobile wallet. The mobile wallet will be a self-contained wallet with a seamless user experience, where users can control token prices and exchange tokens without changing networks. The underlying infrastructure is powered by Uniswap technology stacks, while personal storage wallets provide users with protection against centralization risks. The launch of the Uniswap mobile wallet will attract more users to stay with Uniswap, as most DeFi apps offer a web-only prologue. However, Uniswap emphasized that its application to get the mobile application listed on iOS has been put on hold by Apple for some time.
