K-POP is a genre that is growing evertday and BTS's Jimin has become the first South Korean artist to top US songs chart.
BTS is worldwide famous by now. Jimin being the solo singer of the group has hit the US charts. What is important about this is Jimin became the first South Korean solo artist to hit the US charts. The single, Like Crazy, debuted at No 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 this week. Jimin has managed to surpass Miley Cyrus’s track as well.
Jimin has hit the top US song charts
BTS is regarded as the largest cultural phenomenon to ever occur in South Korea. The band has sold out stadiums all over the world, dominated the charts, generated billions of dollars for the nation's economy, and amassed a massive fan base known as the ARMYs. K-Pop has been growing foe years worldwide and BTS has a huge contrubition to that.
Released on March 24, Face also ranks second on the Billboard 200 album chart. Jimin thus surpassed his fellow BTS member RM to become a South Korean singer who rose to the top of the list. RM's album Indigo reached number three in a row. South Korea has been quite popular with their music and dramas and it looks like this hype will continue for a while.
