Jeff Bezos announced yesterday that he wants to do charity with his funds while his ex-wife also donates another 2 billin dollars.
MacKenzie Scott announced that he had made a huge donation of nearly $2 billion for various purposes, on the day he announced that his ex-wife Jeff Bezos was struggling to distribute his $124 billion fortune. In a blog post on Medium on Monday, Scott shared that he has donated "$1,990,800,000 to 343 organizations that support the opportunities and voices of people in underserved communities."

The announcement coincided with an interview Bezos gave to CNN with his new wife, Lauren Sánchez, in which he said they were "building the capacity to distribute this money." “The hard part is figuring out how to do it in a supported way,” Bezos said. "Setting up Amazon was not easy. It took a lot of hard work and very smart teammates. Me and Lauren also find that philanthropy is very similar. Not easy. It is really hard" he added.
Jeff Bezos said yesterday that he wanted to stand out with his donations. We will see if Bezos, who started donations like Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, will remain in the shadow of his ex-wife in this context.
