Japanese scientists: Men with low libido die earlier
Libido has an interesting aspect as it looks like, it can even affect life span. Here are the details.
A study done in Japan found a link between a lack of sex drive in men and an increased risk of premature death. In other words, men with low libido may be at higher risk of dying prematurely from various health problems. Examining the medical records of nearly 21,000 people over the past 10 years, researchers found that men over 40 with low libido were almost twice as likely to die from cancer and 1.5 times more likely to die from heart disease.

Of the people whose data were analyzed and then participated in a series of surveys prepared by the researchers, 8,558 were men and 12,411 were women. No link was found between low libido in women and the risk of death. The study by researchers from Yamagata University was the first to examine the relationship between libido and death.
The following statements were included in the article published in the peer-reviewed scientific journal Plos One: This is the first study to prospectively examine the associations between sexual interest and all-cause mortality. Researchers also have a theory about this link. Men with low libido are thought to be more likely to adopt an unhealthy lifestyle.
