Italian offers 30 thousand euros to those who move and house to this town!
Speaking to CNN, one of the famous media organizations in the USA, town council member Alfredo Palese said:In the town's historic center, there are many vacant houses built before 1991. We want these houses to come back to life with new residents. It is very sad to see our old places filled with history, great architecture and art slowly emptying out.
Palese stated that part of the support of 30 thousand euros will be given for the purchase of the house, and the other part will be given for the renovation, if necessary. The councilor said that in 2019 Presicce was merged with the neighboring town of Acquarica, and the additional revenues generated under this agreement will enable the projects to be supported for years to come. Those who want to benefit from the support in question must purchase one of the buildings designated by the authorities and built before 1991. Prices start from 500 euros per square meter. Presicce's history dates back to the Middle Ages, which lasted from the 5th century to the 15th century. During this period, monks and farmers hid from looters and invaders in tunnels and chambers they dug underground. Olive oil was also produced in the olive mills established in these underground regions.
