Is Matrix real? Mysterious codes cut across Hawaii's sky
The Subaru-Asahi telescope's star camera has been capturing a number of bizarre sights in Hawaii's night sky.
The bizarre light show that has been playing across Hawaii's skies in recent weeks has baffled Hawaiians. According to the researchers, these extraordinary light shows have earthly origins and can be attributed to NASA and SpaceX. The white dot expands after a few seconds to form a perfect blue spiral. Before eventually disappearing, the celestial pattern develops into a ring shape.
Is Matrix real? Mysterious codes cut across Hawaii's sky
On 28 January @SubaruTel_Eng captured unusual green lights over Hawaii

The lights are lasers from @NASAEarth's ICESAT 2 satellite, which can measure glacier height, sea ice, forests, lakes and more, and help scientists monitor changing ice sheets in Arctic and Antarctica regions pic.twitter.com/l1SGCQ7yht
The spectacle, which was captured on January 28 by the Subaru-Asahi camera that livestreams the night sky from the Mauna Kea volcano on the Big Island, is believed to have been created by lasers from the Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite 2 (ICESat-2) orbiter of NASA.
According to NASA, the objective of ICESat-2, which was launched in 2018, is to produce a "comprehensive measurement of Earth's surface" and map the surface "in cool three-dimensional details." The light also resemble Matrix's codes and got attention online. What do you think of these lights?
