Amarveer, also known as Amarpuri or Jalebi Baba, a self-proclaimed godman, was given a 14-year prison sentence for raping more than 100 women and filming the sex act. According to India Today, the 63-year-old accused used to rape and drug the women who came to him for help. The self-described godman used to record the act and then threatened to make videos public in order to extort money from them.
It is believed that Amarveer is a 63-year-old widower who is also the father of four girls and two boys. "Jalebi Baba" carried on his occult practice for a while. Additionally, he attracted a large number of female followers. According to the findings of the investigation, many of his female followers were his victims. Even though such things occur all over the world followers still fall for the fake guru's games.
