How to generate electricity from rain is found!
Technology has been developing every day and we get to see something we did not see before.
Electricity and rain can be two different things but scientists have found a way to connect them together. Researchers have found a new way to generate electricity with solar panel technology by harvesting the energy produced by raindrops.
The method, put forward by a team from Tsinghua University in China, involves a device called a triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) that creates electrification from liquid-solid contact.

As we are using world's sources harshly, we need different methods to have new streams of sources and scientists have been taking this subject very seriously. Researcher Zong Li said "Referring to the design of solar panels, where multiple solar generating units are connected in parallel to meet the load, we propose a simple and effective method of harvesting energy from raindrops."
The study, titled "Rational TENG arrays as a panel for harvesting large-scale rainindrop energy" detailing the invention, was published in the scientific journal iEnergy. "Rain, which is an important part of the natural energy and water cycle, contains abundant renewable energy," the study states. There are still much to be done about the subject but we will see where it will take humanity.
