Honda starts working on a new private jet model
One of the biggest names in the automotive market, Honda, is currently working on a new private jet model.
Honda Motor Co.'s aircraft manufacturing subsidiary, Honda Aircraft Co., based in the United States, has publicized its plans to release a compact business jet by the year 2028.
The manufacturer unveiled the progress on this development on June 13. Honda Aircraft Co. expressed its intention to achieve certification from the United States Aviation authorities for flight operations. This forthcoming business jet will be classified as a light jet in the commercial product category. Interestingly, it will surpass the HondaJet in size, which currently falls under the very light jet classification with a seating capacity for eight individuals.

The new business jet from Honda is poised to exhibit significant enhancements over its predecessor. The manufacturer promises 20% higher fuel efficiency compared to an average light jet, and it boasts the ability to traverse the entire breadth of North America on a single fuel load. This venture will mark Honda's debut in the light jet segment. The upcoming model takes its foundation from the HondaJet 2600 Concept, which was introduced to the public by the emerging aircraft manufacturer back in 2021.
As the jet is still under development, many key features and specifics remain under wraps. Honda will release additional details, including pricing and the timeline for accepting orders, at a later date. While the launch of the new HondaJet is estimated to be five years away, it is destined to face robust competition from fresh models offered by established leaders in the aircraft manufacturing industry.
