Hollywood writers strike has resulted with shows being cancelled
Hollywood writers went on a strike and this situation has already affected talk shows. Here are all the details.
The Hollywood writers strike has resulted in the cancellation of late-night television shows in the United States. Yesterday there were reports showing that writers would go on a strike and its affects have already started to pile up. Following quite a while of discussion over pay, the association, addressing 11,500 journalists of film, TV and other diversion structures, will make a move from Tuesday.
The Hollywood strike has shown its affects
This means that talk show hosts like Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, and Stephen Colbert won't be recording any episodes of their shows. Until an agreement is reached, the shows will be broadcast live. Along with Hollywood writers American Airlines pilots also went on a strike. The strike means people are eager to come up with the terms while making sure their voice is also heard. "Nobody has the right to work in show business. However, those who work have a right to adequate compensation. They have the right to earn a living. The guild is making a very reasonable request, in my opinion. I also agree with those demands."
Networks are expected to air reruns of previous Jimmy Kimmel Live!, though this has not been confirmed. In place of a brand-new episode, broadcasts of The Tonight Show, The Daily Show, and Late Night are made.
