NEW YORK (TechtUSA) - Former president Donald Trump has been arrested and is scheduled to appear for arraignment at a courthouse in Lower Manhattan for criminal charges related to a hush money payment made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, on a day that is considered historic and unprecedented for America.

As reported by CNN, with his team of lawyers, Donald Trump departed from Trump Tower shortly after 1pm Eastern Time to proceed to court and turn himself in for the criminal charges.
This afternoon, at 2:15pm Eastern Time, Trump will have his arraignment in front of Judge Juan Merchan. This marks the first time that a current or former US president has been charged with a crime.
According to reports, he is expected to face 34 felony charges that pertain to fraudulent business records. However, it is anticipated that Trump will not be handcuffed, put in jail, or have his photograph taken.
Despite being asked multiple times, President Biden has refrained from making any statements regarding the case. However, during an interview with CNN on Monday in Minnesota, he expressed his confidence in the New York Police Department and responded positively when questioned about his trust in the legal system.
