Doctors stole implants from the dead and put them on healthy patients
Tens of thousands of doctors and healthcare workers immigrate to a country where only one hospital has been built in the past 30 years.
A shocking development took place in Romania. It was announced on Saturday that an investigation has been launched against 5 doctors in Romania. Healthcare workers are accused of reusing hundreds of heart implants they received from the dead.
In the statement made by the prosecutor's office, it was reported that Dan Tesloyanu, one of the doctors working at a hospital in the city of Yas in the east of the country, was placed under preventive detention for at least one month on charges of misconduct and taking bribes.
Cardiologist Tesloyanu allegedly directed 4 other colleagues and that others gave him implants they had removed from the deceased. It is also among the allegations that neither the deceased patients nor their families were given permission in this regard.
Prosecutors said that the detained doctor has used these implants in 238 surgeries since 2017, and used the following statements:
Most of the implants the doctor recommended were unnecessary. Implants were inserted by making false diagnoses or triggering certain symptoms with pre-administered medications.
