China to deepen relations with Russia
China and Russia have been keen to deepen their relationships with each other according to reports.
While defending country's stance on the Ukraine war, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi signaled that Beijing will deepen its relations with Russia next year. Speaking at a conference in Beijing, Wang blamed the US for the worsening of relations between the world's two largest economies, saying China "strongly rejects the US's faulty China policy".

Saying that China resisted the West's pressure on trade, technology, human rights and its claims over a large area in the Western Pacific, Wang accused the US of bullying. China's refusal to condemn the invasion of Ukraine and join other countries in imposing sanctions on Russia further frayed relations, fueling the resulting division with much of Europe.
Wang said China would "deepen strategic mutual trust and mutually beneficial cooperation" with Russia. "With regard to the Ukraine crisis, we supported the basic principles of objectivity and impartiality, without favoring either side or fueling the fire, without selfish pursuit of profits from the situation," Vang said, according to the official text of his words. In September this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin publicly announced that Beijing has "questions and concerns" about Moscow's military operation in Ukraine, implying that Russia is at odds with its relations with China.
Speaking at a high-level summit in Uzbekistan, Putin surprisingly acknowledged his possible incompatibility with the Chinese leader in his first face-to-face meeting with Xi Jinping since Russia's invasion in February.
