Bill Gates will sell everything he owns because of a Reddit question
Bill Gates has made a shocking statement, claiming that he will sell everything he owns to charity.
Reddit has caused some interesting thing to happen. The Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates held his annual Ask Me Anything session on Reddit on Wednesday. During the session, he provided responses to a few questions posed by Reddit users regarding a variety of topics. One of the questions must have had such a powerful impact that Gates's decision has shocked many.

One of the questions on Reddit was: "Isn't it contradictory to be a humanitarian and then accumulate the most scarce resource-land under one?" The user was referring to the farmland that Gates had purchased. According to the 2022 edition of the Land Report 100, which tracks the nation's largest landowners, Gates owns approximately 275,000 acres of farmland. In 2021, the United States had 895.3 million acres of farmland, according to a report released in February 2022 by the Department of Agriculture.
"Everything I own will be sold as money moves into the Foundation," Gates said in response to the question. My investment group tries to invest in productive assets like farmland in the interim, but that accounts for less than 4% of the total.
