Airbnb has some plans about pricing!
Airbnb, being one of the most used apps in the world has rolled up its sleeves to make some changes about pricing transparency. Here all the details.
Althought Airbnb is one of the mostly used appls, there are a few reasons why booking a stay through Airbnb can be difficult. The cleaning fee or security deposit may not appear until after you click on a listing, making it difficult to determine how much you will pay for your vacation rental. This is one of the most important of these issues. Recent reports claim that this will all soon change.
In a tweet, CEO Brian Chesky said that the company will make it possible to see the full price of a stay in search results, as well as on the map, price filter, and listings pages, starting next month. You will still be able to see a breakdown of the total cost, including any discounts and Airbnb's service fee. In addition, Chesky claims that in its ranking algorithm, Airbnb will give more weight to total price than to nightly price.
Airbnb has some plans about piricing!
I’ve heard you loud and clear—you feel like prices aren’t transparent and checkout tasks are a pain. That’s why we’re making 4 changes:

However, there is one drawback. Taxes are still not included in the price that you see on the map and in the search results. Given that numerous hotel booking websites display the full price with taxes included in search results, it would be helpful to see that as well at the beginning."Our thought was that we should follow this convention because prices in the United States are typically shown before taxes," Chesky wrote. Chesky stated that Airbnb will provide hosts with additional tools for pricing and discounts elsewhere.
