Students enrolled in the Computer Science 50: Introduction to Computer Science (CS50) program will be encouraged to use the AI tool when classes begin in September. After ChatGPT has been introduced nothing has stayed the same and it looks like these advancements will continue just as strong. According to the course instructors, this AI tutor will likely be based on OpenAI's GPT 3.5 or GPT 4 models.

"Our hope is that we can finally approach a one-to-one teacher/student ratio for every student in CS50, by providing our students with software-based tools that can support their learning, 24/7, at the pace and style that suits them best, thanks to AI," CS50 professor David Malan told The Harvard Crimson. Then he added " But these tools will only get better with student and teacher feedback. So they will also be a big part of the process."
