6 things to avoid for more energy and health
In modern times health and energy becomes much more important than ever, and we have gathered what you need to achieve enough energy.
Harvard brain expert Christopher Palmer listed 6 things he avoids in order to be fit, energetic and healthy. Palmer, who stated that he has been examining the links between physiological and psychological health for 27 years as a psychiatrist and neuroscientist, explained that he also suffers from metabolic syndrome in his 20s.
Do not consume high-carbohydrate foods: Palmer said most people know that diet plays a role in obesity, diabetes and heart health, but they are not aware of its effects on the brain. The scientist, who said that he overcame the metabolic syndrome with a low-carbohydrate diet, said that cereals, bakery products, sweets and fruits high in starch or sugar could be reduced.
Do not take a break from exercise for more than 2 days: A study of 1.2 Americans published in the prestigious peer-reviewed medical journal The Lancet in 2018 showed that exercise is good for mental health. Palmer, who said that he exercised for 45 minutes 3-5 times a week, noted that he did stretching, abdominal exercises, weight lifting, running, cycling, swimming and brisk walking: I don't push myself to exercise every day, but I never take a break from aerobic activity for more than two days.
Sleep no less than 7 hours: Insufficient sleep can lead to impaired cognitive function. This can increase the risk of Alzheimer's disease. Insufficient sleep can also cause depression while affecting mood.
