Xiaomi will hit international markets with rebranded Civi 2
Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has some plans for international markets. The rebranded Civi 2 Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE is coming to international markets.
Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has been quiet active these past months. The Mi 11 Lite 5G NE, a smartphone that is virtually identical to the Mi 11 Lite 5G but has a different chipset, was introduced by Xiaomi toward the end of last year. Apparently, there will also be a NE model for the Lite series in 2022, but this one will have more differences.
The upcoming Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE, which comes with the model number 2210129SG, was discovered in an IMEI database, according to a trustable Chinese source. This is a device that will serve the global market, not the Chinese one, as indicated by the "G" at the end.
Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE specifications
In comparison to the original 12 Lite, the Xiaomi Civi 2 has a different chipset, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, which should perform better than the Snapdragon 778G. It also has a different main camera with a 20 MP ultrawide sensor instead of the 8 MP sensor on the existing Lite and a resolution of 50 MP instead of 108 MP. The Civi 2's selfie camera has a dual-LED flash and an additional ultrawide sensor, despite the fact that it appears to be the same. In addition, the battery has a slightly larger capacity—4,500 mAh versus 4,300 mAh—despite the fact that all of the other specifications are, if not exactly the same. 12 Lite 5G NE will be available in three configurations:8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 6GB of RAM in addition to 128GB of storage.
