Xiaomi prepares to roll out HyperOS update for Redmi Note 11 Pro 4G

Xiaomi is preparing to launch a significant update for its Redmi Note 11 Pro 4G model, namely the HyperOS update. This development was confirmed by GSMChina, who discovered the HyperOS test build for the Redmi Note 11 Pro 4G on Xiaomi’s internal server.

The HyperOS builds for this model, identified as firmware versions OS1.0.0.1.TGDMIXM and OS1.0.0.1.TGDEUXM, are currently in the testing phase. This suggests that an official release could be expected soon. Notably, the update will be based on Android 13, as indicated by the code snippet “[codebase] => 13.0“. This follows Xiaomi’s usual software update policy for its Redmi Note series, which includes two years of major platform updates.

Since the Redmi Note 11 Pro 4G was originally launched with Android 11, it has now reached its quota of two major updates with the upgrade to Android 13. While this might be a point of contention for some users, it's commendable that Xiaomi is extending the HyperOS update to the Redmi Note 11 series.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro is known for its impressive features. It sports a vibrant 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display, boasting a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. The device's photographic capabilities are powered by a 108MP quad-camera setup, allowing for high-quality photo and video capture.

Under the hood, the phone is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G96 processor, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable via microSD. It also features a robust 5,000mAh battery supported by 67W fast charging.
