According to the company, this foldable device will boast an incredibly sleek 4.93mm thickness when unfolded and an impressively slender 9.8mm when folded, a noteworthy advancement compared to its predecessor, the Mix Fold 2, which measured 5.4mm and 11.2mm respectively. Moreover, it enters direct competition with the Honor Magic V2, the current record holder for the thinnest horizontal foldable, at 4.7mm unfolded and 9.9mm folded.
Distinguishing itself further, the Mix Fold 3 will introduce a novel hinge composed of high-strength steel and wear-resistant carbon ceramic materials. This sophisticated hinge features a 3-stage connecting rod design, comprising an intricate assembly of 14 movable components and a total of 198 parts.
