Xiaomi ends software support for certain models
The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi announced the discontinuation of software support for some models.
Xiaomi has recently updated its End of Support (EOS) list, where they notify users about smartphones that will no longer receive software updates. This update included three widely recognized budget phones from 2020: the Redmi Note 9, Redmi 9, and Poco M2. These phones made their initial debut with MIUI 11 running on Android 10. Over their lifespan, each device received two significant MIUI and Android updates. As a result, they now operate on MIUI 13 with Android 12.
Even though the software on these handsets is approximately two years old, users will be pleased to know that they can still handle nearly all Android applications without any hiccups.
