Oppo has expanded its footprint in the clamshell foldable market by introducing the Oppo Find N3 Flip in quick succession to the release of its predecessor, the Oppo Find N2 Flip. This latest iteration showcases upgrades that not only enhance its standing against its predecessor but also set it apart from other rival devices in the market.

The Find N3 Flip is primarily vying for attention with devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. While other foldables like the Huawei P50 Pocket and the Vivo X Flip have been in the market longer, they now seem somewhat dated compared to the recent advancements.

What sets the Oppo Find N3 Flip apart from its competitors?

As it stands, the Find N3 Flip is currently available in China, but Oppo has promised a broader international launch soon. This means the device will likely be competing directly with the likes of Samsung and Motorola in numerous markets worldwide.

A significant distinction for the Find N3 Flip among clamshell foldables is its unique triple-camera setup. While most foldable phones in this category stop at dual cameras, Oppo has ventured further with the addition of a 2x telephoto shooter, marking a pioneering move for this type of device. And these aren't just any regular sensors. The main camera boasts a 50MP Sony IMX890, paired with a 32MP Sony IMX709 for the 2x telephoto lens, and a 48MP Sony IMX581 to cover the 114° ultra-wide perspective. A separate Sony IMX709 sensor graces the front of the device. All these camera sensors support autofocus, expanding their versatility. For instance, the ultra-wide lens can double up for macro shots. However, only the main camera benefits from optical image stabilization (OIS). Additionally, with the Hasselblad algorithm in play, users can expect specialized portrait modes, XPAN mode, among other features.
