Vivo Y78t was seen during the certification process
Vivo's new budget-friendly smartphone model, Y78t, was spotted in the certification process.
Recent reports from China indicate that Vivo is in the process of developing a new addition to their Y-series lineup, which is speculated to belong to the Y78 series. This series is known to include models like the Y78, Y78+, and Y78m. The newest entrant, named the Vivo Y78t, recently made an appearance on the 3C certification website, shedding light on some of its features, including its charging speed.
The Vivo Y78t, with its model number V2312BA, was identified on China's 3C certification website. One of the prominent details to emerge from this listing is the device's support for 44W fast charging. The phone's charger is listed under the model number V4440LoA0-CN.
Interestingly, a Weibo user pointed out that the Vivo Y78t might be a rebranded version of the iQOO Z8x, which was launched in China in August of this year. This claim is further substantiated by the fact that the TENAA database has the same model number for the Vivo Y78t as that of the 3C certification. Images from these certifications also give enthusiasts a sneak peek into the design of the device.

TENAA's database reveals that the Vivo Y78t will have a unique Black-colored square camera module, which will house a 50MP sensor and another secondary lens. The right side of the device will have the volume rocker and power buttons, with the latter likely serving a dual purpose as a fingerprint scanner. A prominent design feature on the front is the center-aligned punch-hole cutout display.
While the core specifications of the Vivo Y78t remain a mystery, drawing parallels with the iQOO Z8x might give some insights. If the rebranding rumors hold, the Vivo Y78t could feature a 6.64-inch FHD+ 120Hz display, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, and a hefty 6,000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging.
