In August, vivo introduced the Y35 with a Snapdragon 680 SoC, 44W wired charging, and no 5G connectivity. The vivo Y35 5G, which is based on the Dimensity 700 SoC and is now available, features a 6.51-inch LCD with a waterdrop notch, just like the 4G model. However, the refresh rate decreases from 90Hz to 60Hz, and the screen resolution decreases from FullHD+ to HD+.

vivoAdditionally, the camera systems differ. The Y35 5G has a dual camera setup with 13MP primary and 2MP macro cameras, while the Y35 4G had a triple camera with 50MP. In contrast to its 4G counterpart, the front-facing camera on the vivo Y35 5G has a resolution of 5 megapixels and can be used for video calls and selfies.

Despite having the same battery capacity (5,000 mAh), the vivo Y35 5G charges at a slower rate (15W versus 44W) than the 4G model. The Y35 5G runs OriginOS Ocean, an Android 13-based operating system, whereas the Y35 4G came pre-installed with Android 11-based FuntouchOS 12. However, both versions feature a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a fingerprint reader mounted on the side.

The vivo Y35 5G comes in dark, gold, and blue tones and has three memory choices - 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB valued at CNY1,199 ($170/€160), CNY1,399 ($200/€190), and CNY1,499 ($215/€205), separately. It will be available for purchase on the official vivo website in China, but no information is available regarding its availability in other markets.
