Vivo appears to be on the verge of unveiling a new mid-range smartphone in the near future. According to a recent certification listing, the tech giant is currently developing a new addition to their Y series, specifically the Y27 5G model. Let's delve into the details of this upcoming device.

A month ago, there were multiple sightings of the Vivo Y27 across various online listings, including the Google Play Console, which provided a glimpse into the key specifications of the device. Notably, the device also surfaced on the NCC website, where live images of the yet-to-be-launched smartphone were revealed. Most recently, Vivo's impending Y27 5G was spotted on the EEC certification, which confirmed its model number as V2302.

From previous reports, we've gathered that the Vivo Y27 5G is likely to come equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. Interestingly, this chipset could undergo rebranding and be launched as the Dimensity 6020 SoC. The smartphone is also expected to run the Android 13 operating system, backed by Vivo's custom FunTouchOS 13, right out of the box. Additionally, the Google Play Console listing indicates that the chipset could be coupled with 6GB of RAM, and the device might feature a display with Full HD+ resolution and a screen density of 440 ppi.

There's speculation that the Vivo Y27 model might be a rebranded version of the Y36 5G. If this proves true, the Y27 is expected to feature a 6.44-inch LCD panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Among other notable features, the smartphone might boast a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, both complemented by an LED flash. On the front, it is likely to sport a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.
