The popular Y series of Chinese tech giant Vivo will host a new name soon.
The imminent launch of the Vivo Y27 5G has created a buzz in the technology space. Thanks to a recent leak, we now have a glimpse into the device's design and specifications. These details were disclosed by the prominent tech enthusiast, Paras Guglani, on Twitter.
According to the shared renders, the smartphone will come in two color variants - Star Purple and Obsidian Black. The Black variant seems to sport a matte finish, contrasting with the Purple model that flaunts a glossier, multi-color reflective finish.
The design showcases a flat panel at the rear with a large camera island that accommodates a dual camera setup along with the LED flash module. The front design includes a waterdrop notch to house the selfie camera.

The Vivo Y27 5G is expected to sport a 6.64-inch IPS LCD panel, with a Full HD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 600 nits. Powering the device is reportedly a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The unique selling point is its support for virtual RAM expansion.
The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor at the rear, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera at the front. Some of the other notable features are Android 13 OS based Funtouch OS 13, an IP54 rating, and a 5000mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging.
