Vivo x100 Pro+'s telephoto camera generates excitement
Leaks about the telephoto camera of the upcoming Vivo x100 Pro+ pique the interest of photography enthusiasts.
Vivo has recently expanded its smartphone lineup with the launch of the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro, both of which boast competitive specifications at attractive price points. Looking ahead, the company is gearing up for the release of the Vivo X100 Pro+, scheduled for the first half of 2024. This new model might debut as the Vivo X100 Ultra, drawing parallels to the Find X7 Pro's transformation into the Find X7 Ultra.
A recent leak from Digital Chat Station sheds light on the Vivo X100 Pro+'s camera system, revealing a groundbreaking 200 MP periscope telephoto lens of 1/1.5″ size. This lens offers 4.3x optical zoom, with a resolution equivalent to a 10 MP periscope lens, and extends up to 10x optical zoom, culminating in a maximum of 200x digital zoom. Complementing this is the Sony LYT-900 50MP primary camera with a large aperture, set to enhance the device's photographic capabilities. The phone is also expected to feature a 50MP Sony IMX589 rear ultra-wide lens and a 50MP IMX758 portrait lens.

Interestingly, the same primary camera is anticipated to feature in the upcoming Oppo Find X7 series and Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
The Vivo X100 Pro+ is also expected to boast a Samsung E7 AMOLED display, offering a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which includes support for two-way satellite communication. The smartphone is set to house a 5400 mAh battery with 100W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging capabilities. Running on Origin OS 4 based on Android 14, it promises a cutting-edge user experience.
In addition, the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro have been launched globally with a 6.78-inch curved-OLED LTPO display, featuring a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. They offer up to 3000 nits of brightness and 2160 Hz PWM dimming. Both models are powered by the Dimensity 9300 SoC and come equipped with LPDRR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
For connectivity, the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C (USB 3.2), NFC, an IR blaster, and an X-axis linear motor. The Vivo X100 comes with a 5000 mAh battery supporting 120W charging, while the Vivo X100 Pro features a 5400 mAh battery with 100W wired charging.
